A Brief History of Butler Capital Corporation
Butler Capital Corporation is an independent, direct lender, not a broker or middleman, providing financing to all types of businesses and nonprofit institutions across the U.S. Founder Lawrence J. Butler started the business in 1978 with just $900 in capital and one goal: to provide honest, straightforward financing for U.S. businesses and in the process become a trusted partner and long term resource in the growth of those businesses. Since then, Butler Capital has provided over $750 million in loans and leases to successful businesses nationwide.

Butler Capital offers commercial loans and leases for equipment purchases and leasehold improvements, expansion and remodeling, financing new locations or purchasing an existing business. Butler finances all types of business equipment ranging from computers, office furniture and telephone systems to heavy industrial and construction machinery.

In 2009, Butler Capital was included among The Monitor's Top Independent Lenders, a list of the nation's largest independent equipment leasing and finance companies. The Baltimore Business Journal ranked the company among Baltimore's largest commercial lenders.
